OVERVIEW OF NCCIM NETWORK

The NCCIM Network is primarily on 2 frontiers:

THE DOMESTIC FRONT

NCCIM is a focal point and collective conduit and platform of its 5 primary members/constituent chambers; thus, to be a valuable force and source of capacity for business networking and outreach – where each is a national trade association comprising of its own constituent chambers or branches at state and district level throughout Malaysia; and with local affiliations to trade associations in their respective district or state.

NCCIM also has a working relationship with other National Trade Associations in Malaysia where they are call upon to participate in the feedback of specific business related issues, especially in those that requires the consideration of the Government.

THE INTERNATIONAL FRONT

NCCIM works closely with its foreign counterpart in other countries – always with a positive disposition that NCCIM serves as a focal point, conduit and platform in the establishment, promoting and sustaining of economic related relations on the cross border fronts. NCCIM is also in close working relations with the Foreign Missions to facilitate the same.

NCCIM has inked MOUs with its counterpart in over … countries; and has even established a number of Bilateral Joint Business Councils, even regional business council, such as the ASEAN-Korea Business Council.
NCCIM is a country member of the following regional/multilateral chambers:
D-8 CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (D-8 CCI)

The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, also known as Developing-8, is an organisation for development co-operation among the following countries: Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.

Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA)

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) is an affiliated institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and is the sole representatives the private sector of the 57 Member Islamic Countries.

 

ICCIA aims at strengthening closer collaboration in the field of trade, commerce, information technology, insurance/reinsurance, shipping, banking, promotion of investment opportunities and joint ventures in the Member countries.

Asia Business Creation (ABC) Platform
Spear headed by Kansai Economic Federation (KANKEIREN), Osaka, Japan – with participation from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

The ABC Platform will leverage various links between Asia and Kansai to specifically work on creating and expanding bi-directional business between Asia and Kansai.

THE IORA BUSINESS FORUM (IORBF)
Under the auspice of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) for business representatives to advise IORA ministers and officials on business issues and ways to accelerate intra-regional trade and increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows in the region.
